The Bat and Its Sound

The bit of a bat would sound off in a peculiar way if beaten by the ocean.

In the same way, a house that is never broken will continue to stand.

If a bicycle had one wheel, but two ways to go, a laugh might be heard in the hall.

Would then a deer do in headlights, but spin as fast as it could in either direction?

So too, do our minds spin like the bicycle wheel, in all sorts of directions.

It is a trick it plays on us while we do our best.

The bat would always know where to go,

While here we may get stumped by a tree.

Nevertheless, the ocean has it's sound.

A bat would never attend.
